Village situated 3 km north-west of Nový Bor. It originated in 15th century around the glass-works. Later it was settled also by painters, cutters and chasers of glass. In the beginning of 18th century Polevsko started to be one of the first glass-trading centres. The most important architectonic building is the church of Holy Trinity from the years 1716-18, rebuilt in second part of 18th century. Near the church there is situated the cemetery with pseudo-gothic chapel. In the village you can see the integrated complex of timber houuses. Polevsko is also one of the ski-centres in Lusatian mountains. On the slopes of Polevský hill (626 m) there are several ski lifts and downhill routes with night skiing. In surroundings there are also the cross-country skiing tracks.
